I’m here to help make your dream invitations a reality
I’ve been designing for as long as I can remember… print shop cards, family newsletters, reunion invitations… you name it, I created it! I followed that love of design and making things all the way to university, where I majored in graphic design. I wandered down the project management path after that, designing on the side and pleasing my Type-A left brain with checklists and timelines while I was at it.
But I needed a bit more creativity in my life, so I took up calligraphy in 2014 and haven’t looked back. It wasn’t until I got engaged, and decided to design and letter my own wedding invitations, that I realized what my next step was… wedding paper and details!
I started alexandra em. to be a collaborative, stress-free, one-stop-shop boutique. I help brides like you have the invitations and wedding details they’ve been dreaming of, and a design experience that is just as dreamy.

I received a BFA in Graphic Design and have been a practicing designer and project manager for more than 10 years.
As for the calligraphy side, I’ve been a lettering artist for the last 5 years and am always taking courses and resources to improve my skills!

NO. 1: CONSULTATION
Custom calligraphy is the best way to make your sure your invitations wow your guests! Complete the form below and we’ll get started!
Once we’ve talked about your vision, needs, and all your ideas, I’ll send along a proposal tailored to fit your priorities and budget. You’ll have access via a personal online workspace.
NO. 2: BOOKING + DESIGN
Once we’ve tied the (booking) knot, you’ll officially be an #AEMBride and all the fun can begin!
We’ll choose all the details, and I’ll create a design board, timeline, and checklist to keep it on track.
And don’t worry if you forgot something, we can always add it in!
NO. 3: PRINT + MAILING
Once you’ve given final approval, your invitations will print and then it’s time to send them to you guests!
Need them assembled, addressed, or sealed with a wax seal? No problem!
If you also need day-of details for your ceremony and reception, I’ve got that covered too!

+ How Long Does the Custom Design Process Take?
Creating a personalized, made-to-order suite from design to print to mailing takes at least ten weeks. While it’s ideal to have as much time as possible (a few months), if you've cut close to the timeline, I’d still love to hear from you!
+ My Wedding Is In 4 Months, Do I Have Time For Custom Invitations?
Yes! I’ll create a custom timeline just for you to make sure we get everything taken care of and in the mail in plenty of time.
+ How Many Invitations Should I Order?
You’ll want to order about one invitation suite per household. Families only need to be sent one invitation, unless there are adult children living with their parents. Inviting roommates? Each friend should get their own. And you’ll want to order about 20% extra for last minute editions and the inevitable invitation that gets lost by the USPS. I’ll take all this into account when sending your invitations to print, so you won’t have to worry about a thing!
+ When Should I Mail My Invitations?
You’ll want to mail your save the dates about 6-8 months before your wedding and your invitations about 8 weeks before your wedding.
+ Can You Help Me Figure Out The Etiquette?
But, of course, darling!
+ Can You Design My Programs?
Absolutely! I can take on all of your ceremony and receptions needs from welcome signs and aisle runners to escort cards, programs, and menus.
+ What If I Only Need Envelope Calligraphy?
No problem! Envelope calligraphy is a great way to personalize your invitations and give them major wow-factor. And it’s a great place to splurge if custom invitations aren’t in your budget.
